Magnimetrics’ founders were in leadership positions in a US and a Dutch company, respectively. They managed large teams and had to constantly engage in planning and budgeting exercises. They kept looking for modern, scalable FP&A solutions that were easy to set up, were easy to learn, could be scaled as the underlying business grew and were affordable. In the meantime, they used increasingly complicated Excel spreadsheets which became more of a burden over time.
In the end, they couldn’t find a suitable solution, and realized that this was an issue that affected countless SMEs and individual business owners. As a result, they decided to develop a novel FP&A tool from scratch which specifically aimed to fulfill the FP&A needs of SMEs globally.
